Naomi Matlow is a New York City and Toronto based lyricist, bookwriter and playwright. Originally from Toronto, Canada, she recently completed her MFA in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She received her BA in 2011 from the University of Toronto where she double majored in History and Philosophy. Selections of Naomi’s work have been showcased at various venues in New York City and across the country, such as NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Goodspeed Opera House, CAP21, the Duplex, Boston Playwright's Theatre, Yale University and 54 Below. Her book and lyric writing credits include Someone Else’s Story with composer Collin Martin, My Island with composer Jiyoung Kim and SAM with composer Kiran Gupta. Last year Naomi was a playwright-in-residence at Theatre InspiraTO and recently completed her training to be a Peer Support Worker with Stella's Place and George Brown College in Toronto. Naomi is also a member of the Dramatists Guild of America and the Canadian Musical Theatre Writers Collective.

Brandon Ivie, 2013), The Birds and the Bees: Unabridged (music) with lyricist Ella-Rose Chary (NYC, 2013), Smoke (NYU’s Brandspankin’ New Works Showcase, dir. Jessica Zur-Linden), Dick Whittington: an XMAS Panto for NYC (music, Dixon Place, 2012), Grounded; an original One Act Musical (book and lyrics) with composer-lyricist Ryan Korell (Nashville, 2012). Her work has been heard at the New York Musical Theatre Festival, 54 Below, Dixon Place, Metropolitan Room and the Duplex.
